Pricing

All prices on Colour2Glass website include any VAT payable but exclude delivery charges. We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods on Colour2Glass at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order.

Ordering Terms

Your order may be changed at any time up until payment is received as the manufacturing process will then begin. You should be aware that with all toughened glass products, there is a 2mm tolerance each side and top and bottom. If you have carefully followed our measuring instructions this should not be an issue but should your glass not fit due to this reason we cannot be held accountable.

All our Coloured glass splashbacks are made by back spraying glass, in specifically manufactured coloured glass paints. If you intend to place a repeat order or match a certain colour you should be aware that there may be a slight colour difference, for this reason we cannot guarantee that the colour will be the exact the same. In these circumstances you should inform us before you order that you wish to match to a previous order and we can try to work with you to do that.

Please note that the colours displayed on our colour picker, website are only to be used as a guide. We do not use domestic household paint as these paints are not suitable for glass. We mix our own paint as close as we can get to their formula, so should you wish to be sure of the colour of the glass you will receive, it is strongly advisable to order a sample as we cannot guarantee that our paint will match other paint manufacturers. Please be careful when picking colours from a PC as all PC and tablets colours my look different to the actual colour.

All colours are applied to the rear of the glass. Due to this there may be a colour difference between the paint colour on the back of the splashback and colour shown through the glass. This will effect lighter colours more than darker colours. We would always advise you to order a sample to confirm you are happy with the colour.

PRINTING QUALITY AND COLOURS

Colours can be chosen from the Company’s standard range, from the Dulux™, RAL, British Standard paint mixing range, colour match, pattern or Colour 2 Glass exclusive collection at extra cost. Due to the variation in the manufacture of glass the colours as shown on the colour chart or sample cannot be guaranteed. 

Please keep in mind that colours on different screens and different materials will look different, we will do our best to achieve the most close match possible, however this cannot be guaranteed. Rendering of colours depends on quality and quantity of light such as frequency and tone of light as well as natural shadows – deprivation of light.

If your are very particular about certain colours please request sample on the material of your choice. Charges may be applied, subject to job size.

Samples provide rather close, but not 100% indication of the finished product as colour depends on multiple factors some of which are outside our control. (like temperature, different ink batches, humidity, atmospheric pressure etc). Samples provided to a Customer are for illustrative purposes only. We cannot guarantee an exact replication for any item supplied, we offer a ‘good match’ as per industry standards. You should be aware that in situ natural light can affect material colour perception, especially with large expanses of material particularly in the lighter finishes and this can in some circumstances accentuate the inherent colour of the base material.

Large percentage of our jobs is matching clients samples and interior details. Colour matching to the samples is chargeable service and even thought we are usually rather precise, 100% match can not be guaranteed. All colour matching is undertaken with an aim to achieve a ‘good match’ rather than an exact match.

Our usual precision on continuous images printed over several pieces of material is 1-2 mm, however up to 5 mm mismatch won’t be considered as defect.

Printing imperfections such as lines, dusting, white dots, minor scratches aren’t considered as defects if not visible from normal viewing distance as described in ‘inspections’ section.

Slight colour variations on every new ink batch are possible, so please try to keep jobs, where colour shades are particularly important in one order or at least make us aware that similar colour job is possible in future so that we record the settings and other parameters to ensure best possible consistency.

For consistency of material appearance throughout a project any initial order must include the total sqm and description for the whole project to enable the Company to order sufficient material from a single batch. Where replacement or additional material is required subsequent to the original project having been manufactured the client acknowledges that some visual variation may be apparent by reason of industry deviations

The print file scale tolerance is up to 11.3% as we might need to stretch/shrink the image to fit the substrate.

The Company will use its reasonable endeavours to match as closely as possible the finished Product with the colour chart, however the Customer is advised that it is difficult to match a printed colour chart with the Company’s paint.

Measuring & Fitting

Once 50% of the deposit has been received, should you wish to cancel at any time from this point we reserve the right to deduct any reasonable costs incurred by the company.

The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the site is suitably prepared for the accurate measure and installation. Electrical and telephone points, utensil racks, appliances, cabinetry, worktops and all fixtures must be fitted before the accurate measure, and can’t be moved or altered in the lead time to the installation as changes cannot be made to the product once it is cut and toughened. Walls and worktops must be reasonably level as creation of gaps may occur.

The company takes no responsibility for any unprepared surfaces resulting in unsatisfactory finish. Painter’s caulk is applied to outer perimeter of the Product for sealing and waterproofing purposes. Seals may vary depending on joinery, walls and worktops being level or plumb.

We would advise that our fitters are specialists in measuring and fitting glass splashbacks. The removal of electrical sockets, tap heads and cupboard pelmets and any other fixed items are not part of our work brief. Where possible we will assist in the removal and refitting of these items, in doing so we can’t accept any responsibility for any damage incurred.

The remaining balance must be paid whilst the fitter is still on site.

Toughened Mirrors

Due to the material nature and toughening process mild distortions, blemishes and hairline scratches can occur to our toughened mirrors. There will also be reduced clarity compared to standard non-toughened mirror of up to 10%.

Distortions and blemishes shall be judged by looking through the glass, not at it, when standing at right angles to it on the room side at a distance of not less than 3 meters in natural daylight and not in direct sunlight. The area to be viewed is the normal vision area with the exception of a 50mm wide band around the perimeter of the glass.

Surface faults e.g. scars, scratches, blemishes or toughening spots shall be deemed acceptable if they are not bunched or clustered and are smaller than the below sizes as per industry standards.

Distortions and blemishes of up to 5cm will be deemed acceptable.

Hairline scratches of up to 25cm in length will also be deemed acceptable.

Providing your own templates

Should you wish to send us your own wooden templates please do so to the address found on our about us page. We will make your glass to the exact size and shape of your templates to an accuracy of 2mm. Please note that should you choose to send us your own templates you do so at your own risk, we will not be held liable for loss or damage of your templates in the factory or be held liable for any associated costs you may have incurred in getting your templates manufactured.

Distance Selling Regulations

In accordance with the distance selling regulations, your orders may not be cancelled once payment is received “for the supply of goods made to the consumer’s own specification and measurements”. However we reserve the right to make this decision as we may be able to issue a refund if the manufacturing process has not began (as mentioned above)

Delivery

Delivery prices quoted are mainland UK mainland only. However the following places incur additional delivery charges, N Ireland, Eire, Scottish Highlands and Offshore Islands. If a order is placed within these areas we will be in touch to quote an additional charge.

Payment

The total cost of your order including delivery will be detailed in your invoice. Payment may be made using Credit Debit cards, PayPal’s secure online payment service. We don’t accept American Express.

Returns and refunds policy

We use a nationwide next day delivery service, throughout the mainland. Please check your parcel for any visible signs of damage to the packaging of your order before signing for the delivery. Any items damaged in transit should be noted at time of delivery; if possible delivery should be refused and returned to us. Where no visible signs of damage is apparent, upon opening should any defect be apparent please contact us with the nature of the defect and if possible take a suitable photograph and email it to us. Please don’t discard the packaging, we will ask you to repackage and we will arrange collection. We reserve the right to repair any defects. If the glass has been fitted we are unable to offer any refund, replacement or compensation. If the splashbacks do not fit we cannot issue you a refund if the measurements match the measurements on your invoice, so please check your order prior to completing payment.

Please ensure that you have thoroughly checked your order before signing for it. Once signed for any claims made by you will be validated at our discretion and need to be raised with 24 hours of receipt. Where you have asked us to leave your order in a safe place at your premises or with a friend or neighbour, you do so at your own risk. We recommend that you have the friend or neighbour check your order on your behalf.
